  1. One S HDMI Compatibility ?

    Hi,

I actually have the 360 S which is a little old now, so I think about switching to the One on christmas

So I want to get the One S, but I wanna know if there is a minimum requirements about the HDMI ?

Because I have a pretty old TV (late 2006/early 2007), and my friend's PS4 didn't worked on it (black screen/no signal), even if my 360 work just fine on it, I wanna know If I will have the same issue with the One or if I don't have to worry and It's just
the PS4's fault (I tried with different HDMI cable, same result, but when I plugged it on my livingroom TV, it worked just fine, but I want my One on my bedroom)

I don't have a friend with a One, so I could test it on my TV, so that's why I'm asking you

Thank you One S HDMI Compatibility ? :D

(By the way, sorry for my **** english, I'm french and I didn't find a french section here)

    :)

Xbox restarts when I turn off my tv and turn it back on or when I switch to a different channel.

Another option covered by a Turtle Beach article on
    Xbox 360 E headset compatibility
is to get a HDMI to S/PDIF adapter. It would pass through the HDMI signal to your TV and give you a S/PDIF out for your headset.

  3. Xbox One X for 1080p gaming?

I do have a question. I know the console comes with a 4K compatible HDMi cable, do I need that hooked up if I have a 1080p TV? My cables are all run through the wall, thats why I ask. Hoping I can get the texture updates and all of that without the 4K compatible HDMI cable thats included and just use my Xbox One S HDMI cord.

    One S HDMI Compatibility ?

    Hi

As long as your Xbox 360 was being connected to your television by an HDMI cable then an Xbox One should also work on it. Please see the guide below as long as your television can support the then resolution then you should be able connect it to your television
    without issue.

Chances are your friends console has been locked at a resolution higher than your bedroom television is capable of displaying.

    Xbox one s

    Hello EgorHomyak,

Thank you for your post. I understand you are looking to connect an HDMI 2.1 cable to an Xbox One S. Though the Xbox One S has a HDMI 1.4 connector, HDMI 2.1 is backwards compatible, meaning it will display output from your Xbox One S without issue.

    I hope this information helps.

    backwards compatibility

Just plug your 360's HDMI cable into the HDMI-In port on the Xbox One and there you go, backwards compatability lol. Will be a tiny bit laggy, but hey nothing's perfect.

    No signal on TV

Hi, Praveen my name is Oskayra, and will be a pleasure help you

It's understandable that you're facing this issue with your Xbox One S console not displaying a signal on the TV in Japan. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the HDMI cable connection: Ensure the HDMI cable is firmly connected to both the Xbox One S and the TV. Disconnect and reconnect both ends of the cable to ensure a secure connection.

Try a different HDMI cable: If possible, try using a different HDMI cable to rule out any issues with the original cable.

Change HDMI input on the TV: Check the TV's input settings and ensure that you are on the correct HDMI input port connected to the Xbox One S.

Power cycle the Xbox One S: Turn off the Xbox One S completely by holding the power button for about 10 seconds until the console shuts down. Unplug the power cord for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn on the console.

Update the Xbox One S software: Ensure that the Xbox One S is running the latest software updates. Go to Settings > System > Updates and check for any available updates.

Try different HDMI ports on the TV: If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, try connecting the Xbox One S to a different HDMI port.

Check for TV compatibility issues: Check if your TV is compatible with the resolution and refresh rate settings of the Xbox One S. You can adjust these settings in the Xbox One S's video settings.

Try a different TV: If possible, try connecting the Xbox One S to a different TV to rule out any issues with your current TV.

I hope this helps! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions or need additional clarification.
