One of my friends is always "offline" despite he's in online mode...

and we're able to game & chat... Is there a reason why he's always on offline on my Xbox Live screen?? Everyone else on my list is online or shows their last online time, his is just "offline" always... On the xbox one.

Friends list problem

So my friends list shows that there's 30 people online then when I click on one of my friends it says he's offline for 8 hours and shows he's online same with my offline friends says he's offline for two hours but when I click on him he's playing for honour I've
tried hard restarting my Xbox and it hasn't worked idk what to do

There is an option on the Xbox One to allow someone to make there profile appear off line I think this feature is located somewhere in the profile section on console.

He doesn't get any sort of error message. He doesn't get any sort of option to join my game and vice versa. His profile is both offline on minecraft friends list and xbox, despite him being online. Not sure what this means

I know my friend is trust worthy and that he wouldn't lie on this situtation. One of my friends just had it happen to him. On Minecraft, he was in his game on Invite Only and Offline Mode, and a character named "Unknown" joined his game. And I know he wouldn't
lie.

i am getting really mad at this guy because he keeps on hitting me offline (booting offline). when ever the guy sees I'm online he hits me back offline. he is not on my friends list but i have friends that have him as a friend and he looks on his friends,
