One month of Gold for a dollar won't purchase

It accepts my credit card, says it's purchasing, then goes right back to the original screen displaying the promotion. I tried turning off my Xbox and purchasing multiple times, but it just won't register. No error code, just a complete refusal to purchase.
And if the fact that it's a prepaid card has anything to do with it, then frankly Microsoft can collectively go
[Mod Removed] themselves. If there's no guarantee that my subscription will be renewed, I don't get a subscription? A PS4 is looking more tempting every day.

Gold for 1 dollar

Hello I have seen 1 month of gold for 1 dollar on the dashboard but when i try to purchase it it says no valid payment option found. I have $1.69 on my account. why can't i purchase the 1 month of xbox live gold for $1

Xbox Live Gold membership one month for a dollar

I've had xbox live gold for several years now, but my subscription ran out. A friend of mine renewed his subscription for one dollar for one month of gold. I was wondering if I would be able to get that deal, my gamer tag is and I would really appreciate
it if I could get xbox live gold one month for a dollar. Thanks.

Sorry to hear it. There were issues with purchasing items yesterday.

However, some prepaid cards will not work on the system. This goes especially so when they are being used to purchase a Gold membership. This is due to the fact that when a membership is purchased on the console auto renewal is turned on and the card must
be verified to ensure that another payment can be taken at the proper time.

If you don't want to use a regular credit card or paypal then your next best bet would be to head to your local store to purchase a Gold membership card to apply to your account.

So it really is that if there's no guarantee that my subscription will be renewed, I don't get a subscription. Maybe if things had gone differently, I would have renewed it on my own after that one month. Hell, I'd almost call it a guarantee. But I really
don't NEED it, so I think I'll jut hold off. Thanks for nothing.

You cannot use your account balance to purchase an Xbox Live Gold subscription. You can use Xbox Live Gold membership cards. They come in one month, 3 month, and year memberships. It's the same kinda thing, a prepaid code that gets redeemed to your account
and adds the number of months you have purchased. The gift cards with the dollar amounts that get added to your account cannot be used to buy a membership

$5 month is not a promotion. A year of XBL gold is 60 dollars = 12 months X 5 dollars

It will be 1 dollar for the first month then normal price the next month.

If you have xbox gold now, then 1 dollar will change all of your gold months remaining to Gamepass Ultimate all for 1 dollar. When that expires it will ne normal prices again.
