    I have struck genius. Xbox should use HDMI content control(forgot what its called) to control the flow of content through the hdmi in, and allow to use the xbox as a capture card for stuff like the nintendo switch. please xbox

    Xbox One X will not work with supposedly compatible monitor

    Xbox one X need last firmware

    use Xbox one X bundle hdmi cable

    HDMI Ultra Deep Color need "ON" , if monitor had and monitor setting "Customer"

    Monitor "ON" then Xbox one X "ON", SETUP resolution for 4K...

    I bought a LG 27UD69-W , I must HDMI Ultra Deep Color "ON" for 4K resolution...

    anyway... try it?

    The Xbox One X is the only console that has HDMI 2.1. Xbox One S has HDMI 2.0.
    The Xbox One S and One X both use HDMI 2.0,

    The Xbox One uses HDMI 1.4

    The Series X will have HDMI 2.1.

    Does anyone know if the HDMI pass through will work when the XB1 is off?

    Get a 1xHDMI IN to 2xHDMI OUT splitter and a total of 4 HDMI leads.

    1. Plug the HDMI lead from your cable box into the HDMI IN port on the splitter

    2. Plug a HDMI lead into one HDMI OUT port on the splitter and into the HDMI IN port on you xbox

    3. Plug another HDMI lead from the Xbox One into HDMI 1 on your TV (lie normal)

    4. Plug one last HDMI lead from the other HDMI OUT port port on the splitter to HDMI 2 on the TV

    Now you "should" have the Xbox One on HDMI 1 with TV and all the bells and whistles but if you use HDMI 2 then you should still have access to TV directly. Please note I haven't tried this yet (sitting here waiting for my Xbox) but I might have to if my
    wife hates using it through the Xbox, however I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

    Cable Box HDMI Out to Xbox One HDMI In

    Xbox One HDMI Out to Home Theatre HDMI In

    Home Theatre HDMI Out to HDTV In

    .

    If using optical audio for sound, connect the toslink from the Xbox One to the HT.

    HDMI throughport for TVs with Game Mode

    There will only be on HDMI going to you TV. That one HDMI cable will be the one used for your Xbox One. Everything else is going to the Xbox One. So, its not the TV trying to figure out which HDMI cable or setting to use, its the Xbox One.
