One handed Gaming!

Hi,

I've played computer games ever since I was a kid - grew up with an Atari - yep I'm that old.

Anyways 25 yrs ago I had an accident that means I have only got function in 1 hand - this didn't at the time have too much of an impact gaming wise as on the original Nintendo I could stretch my finger to reach d pad and A & B buttons. Time has passed now
and I can kinda play games on the Wii but so long as there not to many button involved. Anyways that's a bit of background...

So I've seen the Adaptive controller now from Microsoft and was really wondering if that would open up being able to play X box games well?

I can obviously use a regular controller but it's the extra functions of the buttons underneath etc.. that I just can't get a grip with and do...

I'd welcome so information help on what experiences anyone has and what is good in terms of kit to get.

One Handed, Two-Handed weapons

Say you have a legendary one handed axe and a legendary 2 handed axe. The 2 hand will say "Legendary Two Handed Axe." the 1 hand will just say "Legendary Axe." For crossbows, 2 hand will say "crossbow," and 1 hand will say "hand crossbow."

This is in the item description.

Thanks for replying. I must really be missing something here, or being completely dense.

Here is what I'm doing.

Push back button

In inventory screen I go to a weapon

Have to push compare to see details

Can only use trigger to scroll if long list of items.

However, this is not a long list and still can't find whether it's a one handed or two handed weapon. Am I looking for those exact words, or some kind of icon what? Or am I in completely the wrong place

Hi,

One handed gaming is possible with the adaptive controller but I think you will need some extra Peripherals so it's possible to use multiple buttons. You can for example use a bigger button for to press with elbows (or feet) and an joystick for moving. You
can change and extend the controller a lot so it will fit your needs.

 

Thanks for replying so swiftly - I'm in the UK are those kind of peripherals easily purchased - is there a way of knowing what I'd need without buying it all upfront - ie like a template?

 

Sorry I can't give answer on that because I'm currently also looking for an adaptive controller and peripherals. An electronic store will probably have the controller but I dont think that they have the peripherals.

i think you can personalise as you want and with a lot of devices, they are sold separately!

Try to ask in a shop, they will suggest you which devices are good to use
