Xbox One and Xbox 360 controller comparison?

Xbox One controller for sure. Fits perfectly into my hands. I did like the 360 controller at the time, but going back to it just feels kind of weird.

Just to clarify, are you trying to get sound via the Xbox One controller's headphone port?

I have the same setup as you (X360 hooked into X1 via HDMI-in) and I get all Xbox 360 sounds going into my headphones (when connected to X1 controller).

How are your audio settings configured for both your Xbox One and Xbox 360?

I believe so. The 360 controller is loved by all but PS3 fanboys. It fits in everyone's hands quite nicely. My hands use to cramp up using a PS2 controller back in the day. When one of my friends bought an original Xbox, I liked that the controller felt
comfortable in my hands. This was one of the deciding factors when I was choosing PS3 vs Xbox 360.

I think the build quality on the xbox one controller is nowhere near as good as the 360 controller, The left hand side of mine is loose already.

I don't mind if some of the Xbox One features weren't put into a 360 controller but I'd love a 360 controller that is the same shape as the Xbox One controller.

I went back to the 360 to play some games like Tetris and Rock Band Blitz but I couldn't do it any more.The shape of the 360 controller caused physical pain in my hands since I'm used to the One controller now.The same thing happened
to me with the transition from the original Xbox to the 360.Playing something a little more casual like a shooter isn't a problem,but something that requires many more hand movements causes pain.

I'd definitely buy a 360 controller shaped like a One controller so I could get a few more years out of my 360.

I can't help but notice (and even compare) the squishyness of the Xbox One controller compared the 360's. Keep thinking that one of these days the XO's controller is going to fall apart in my hand.

I have tried. I don't believe I will. The Xbox One controller actually gave me hand pains to use consistently, and that's when I switched to a CronusMax Plus using my 360 controller. I have never looked back. It works better for my hands
