one Guide

I have been playing the original xbox since the very first day, love the new xbox one but I feel as a Canadian that we should have been told that the cable features do not work in Canada. There is no excuse why us Canadians pay more but get less. Frankly
im considering returning my xbox for a playstation, I have never bought a playstation nor a fan of playstation but I feel that to pay more money for this console and to receive less features just because of the country I live in, its extremely unacceptable
that no one was notified that it doesn't work in Canada. It took me over a week on the phone with xbox just to find out that it doesn't work here and if you can give me a time or a date when this stuff is going to work in Canada please let me know because
this is the last time im willing to accept the lack of features. So please respond so I know, the US has way more options and features with the xbox, I pay more for xbox and xbox live and get considerably less. I speak as a Canadian and a huge xbox fan that
a serious and considerable effort to us on what features work and don't, should be given. If this goes unanswered then I am going to assume that my words go unheard and im going to return my xbox and buy a playstation 4. please respnd asap. I have the ut most
faith in microsofts abilty to fix this problem I seriously hope that I can keep gaming on my xbox like I have for the last 14 years.

One Guide

I went through the entire setup process a few times and even cleared the one guide to make it get the latest data. It seems like wherever Xbox Live receives its data is incorrect. This doesn't seem to be an issue I can fix on my end.

Let's have you try to re setup Live TV on the console to see if that will help with refreshing the information on the console.

This page has some steps for doing that as well as other troubleshooting ideas.

To be honest, the One Guide loses its appeal after using it a couple times. I just use my regular TV remote for my TV guide. You're not missing out on anything, trust me. Just hang in there. Microsoft is working hard getting licensing for other countries
to use its many features. You'll get everything you want with this console.

 

To be honest , whether we are not missing out is not the point. To me buying the Xbox One , we were told of all the cool things available with the new system as per their marketing. In turn we purchased based on what we were told through countless blogs/commercials,
e3 etc... , now if we were informed hey all these things will not be working on launch in canada and no eta in sight. I may have opted out of buying the One for a PS4 or a Steam machine instead. I do believe that is called false advertisement.

Sure they are fixing this and that in honor of the up coming titanfall release with the latest update, but still nothing that was supposed to be working upon release. Whether your in canada, britain or the states, when you put out a selling feature it should
work for all.

But hey i can change the volume with my voice now to personally set increments. Glad that was fixed. Phew close one.

I for one am completely unsatisfied.

No false advertisement on my console. It does everything as advertised. AND Microsoft says features are available in certain regions. Your fault for buying it without understanding what you're getting. So wipe the tears.
