I am about to work overseas for the next 6 months. I would like to get a second Xbox One so my son and I can play together. Can we share my Gold account, online purchased games and be online at the same time? Getting a second account wouldn't be that big
of a deal but really don't want to buy all the games again.

Here's the simple breakdown. It's one gold account for every two Xbox ones in the house. One Xbox will be classified as the home console and anyone who plays on the home console will have gold privileges. The person with the golf account then signs into
the second Xbox and there you have it. One gold account, two Xbox's.

You would have to have a second account. You can't be signed into the same account at the same time.

If you purchase gold on your account and set the console you're having home as your Home console, you can share the gold subscription and games.

If you get gold for one account and install that account on both xbox consoles, set one as 'home xbox' and share gold across two consoles. Its a bit confusing but it works.

Is this for the Xbox 360 or Xbox One? With Xbox One I believe you can have up to two accounts under one XBL gold subscription, but for the Xbox 360 you can only have one account per gold subscription. It may change in the near future though.

If one person on an Xbox One owns Gold then everyone using that console can use the Gold features. Essentially it's a per-console Gold instead of a per account Gold. If you have two consoles I believe you'll still need two subscriptions though.

This does NOT apply to the 360, only the One.
