One friend and I can't play together

So this started about a week ago at this point, I posted my problem on the Xbox subreddit yesterday but got no answers.

So playing multiplayer games solo works completely fine and partying up and playing games with literally any other friend works fine to, but me and one friend can not play together. whenever we invite one another we get an in game error message. we can talk
in a party but not play together. we did some testing and if one of us uses an ult account it works just fine but it doesn't work on our mains.

Things we tried or know is not the issue:

It's not NAT type.

Its not general internet issues we called our service providers and they said everything looked fine.

We tried restarting our xbox's.

We tried signing out of out accounts and back in.

Neither of us has even gotten so much as a warning from microsoft for bad behavior or anything like that.

Neither or us has any child safety things.

Neither of us have changed anything in setting since it stopped working.

Im completely baffled to what is wrong here, I've never seen anything like this and am confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Also Idk if this goes in game's and apps or Xbox on consoles.

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry i couldn't respond in a timely manner! The xbox itself does not display the error message the game itself does. If it was just one game i would have understandably gone to their fourms but it is happening for every game.

Examples:

For Jump Force it will say Error: failed to find opponent
For Rocket league it will say Couldn't connect
For Rainbow it will say Player not found
For For honor just nothing happens

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully play with your friend. I can totally understand how this could be pretty disheartening.

If you don't mind, can you tell us what error that you get when you do try to invite eachother through message?

I'm sure that provided enough info, we should be able to isolate what is up with what you're trying to do.

Hello! there is undoubtedly more then one xbox hooked up on my friends Wifi, he is at college, so if that is the issue there's nothing he can do about it, but it was working fine around a week ago and he can play with other friends just fine so I don't
know. As for Ipv6 I had no idea that was a thing and will look at the Fa that you linked.

Do you or your friend have more than one console connected to network gateway?

Refer to NAT error solution step 5 by choosing No to Open NAT question.

Do you and your friend both have IPv6 one XBox one ?

Thanks for the reply! No xbox services have been up and it's been happening for a straight week. As for one of our xbox's being busted I doubt it as it works perfectly fine except when we try to play together.
