    One Drive Media

I am one frustrated Microsoft consumer right now. Like many of you I played my media through USB sticks on my 360. I edit a lot of home and work videos that my family and friends see. Now there is no option for this with the usb slot (for some unexplained
reason!) and I am trying to use OneDrive.

Once I load videos on OneDrive it is easy to view them from my desktop and other avenues. When I try and view them through the Application on the XBox One it just stalls and they are unwatchable even if I let them load/cache for up to 10 minutes.

I've tried lowering the quality and it still doesn't help. I am on a hard-wired connection that has excellent connectivity and speed which is why this is driving me crazy. Any thoughts? Help? PLEASE!!!

    :)

Using External Hard Drives for Games and Media Simultaneously

I'm thinking about purchasing an external hard drive for my Xbox One, but I wanted to find out if you can use it to store media as well as games, or whether I would need to buy two hard drives - one for games and one for media.

    Thanks.

    Play videos on burned discs

I've put a disk in and none of the apps even see the optical blu ray drive let alone any media files on it. The blu ray player app does play media on a blu ray disk that is in the proper blu ray format, but VLC, or even the file explorer app do not even display the optical drive. I can play media on an external drive using VLC.

Xbox one Console suddenly not seeing External drives, even brand new backup console.

Similar problem; I have a hard drive enclosure with two drives RAIDed for media and one formatted for games; since the latest update the games drive mounts fine but the media drive is invisible. Tried all ports, different cables, power cycled everything: no change. The media drive mounts absolutely fine on all my other devices, it's just the XBox One that doesn't recognise it

Watching movies on Xbox One S

That hard drive must be designated as a media drive. Not formatted as Xbox drive. Because Xbox recognizes SSD it immediately recognizes it as a media drive. Here is troubleshot for external
    hard drives.
Have you tried to start movies from USB drive? Remember, in settings on your Xbox that drive must be designated as a media drive. You can try reformated it again on your PC and then plug it in again on Xbox. One other thing. If your HDD is
recognised as media drive on your Xbox, you can format again on your Xbox and set it as media drive again. System/storage - select your media drive and pres a. Then formate it as media drive again. And finally, the question that supposed to be first. Is your
HDD recognized as a media drive? Is it recognized at all?

Have you tried to change USB ports to plug it in? And last, try a power cycle console described here on the bottom of the page and try plug
    back in your HDD.

    seagate 4TB not recognized

Acronis Disk Director will allow you to format the drive to FAT32 and 32 Kb cluster size aka allocation size... this allows for the device to be seen as media drive on the Xbox 360... it is worth a shot to try this for the One. If you get it to work as a
media drive on the One please let me know as I will promptly go purchase it.

Note: With a 2TB and smaller drive you can use as both media drive and part of the space as storage for the Xbox 360 (up to 32GB). With 2TB+ you can ONLY use it as media drive. I do not know how you intend to use it but keep this in mind.

Xbox 360 and One USB formatting... NTSF?

I heard a "media hard drive" can be formatted in NTSF using an Xbox One.

One should select Media disc instead of Xbox Game format, correct?
