One Crashes After Time

Hi,

My Xbox One was part of the Assassin's Creed Unity collector's pack. For the first year of owning it, it went relatively unused. Recently however (around June), I began playing again. Since, I've been completing Dishonored, Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's
Creed Syndicate, and now I've moved on to Halo 5.

My problem has been this--after I've logged about 24 hours of play on a game (this has happened with every one of the title mentioned above), the game begins to crash constantly (constantly being at least 4 times a day). For Dishonored, this included unending
save cycles, freezes, and audio glitches; most recently, regarding Halo 5, I have been experiencing latency issues (my router appears to be working fine), have been getting dropped from games, and unable to exit Arena matchmaking without turning my One off--because
whenever I win a match, it will not load the 'carnage report' and will not allow me to leave the queue for the next game. The thing is, three days ago, none of these problems existed. Today, they are rampant.

This problem is becoming increasingly frustrating. I know the One has bugs, like any machine does, but I feel it'd be best for me to put out a public request for support here to see if anybody else has had these same issues. I feel like the quality of my
games are degrading over time, and it is a very short period of time.

If anybody knows any solutions, they would be greatly appreciated.

App continues to crash

The daily challenges crash close each time I try to play. It will download the daily puzzles but after selecting one, when it starts to open (and play an advertisement I assume) it crashes and closes. I WAS only able to do puzzles in my collections of
"Classic Jigsaw" but now that is crashing after I've had a puzzle open for a few minutes. After a few moves, this now crashes and closes. PLEASE FIX!!!

 

Xbox continuously crashes to dashboard HELP

Yeah I'm having a similar problem after one game of assssins creed online my xbox just crashes to the dashboard I have rebooted my xbox one multiple times now. Cheers Microsoft

 

I think you would get a better idea of problems with your games in Discussion just above your post.

 

You say your "router appears to be working fine" but truth is , lots of them are not fine , the update imo did something to the way the xbox and router talk to each other... just wondering what kind of setup do you have ?

Over 90 % (closer to 99% ) of the people on here with issues are using modem router combos (gateways) from their isp...

 

Please provide the information that Bimnog requested and may I also add that you please provide the steps that you have attempted to resolve the issue.

 

My router is a linksys wrt1900ac, and my modem is an xfinity arris tg862gct. Comcast is our provider.

Additionally, I live in a duplex, therefore I share this setup with my landlord who lives next door. He also has a One--and has never encountered this issue. Not sure if this information is of additional use.

 

Both the Linksys and the Arris are routers , with the Arris being the all time worst on this forum to have the very problem you describe...not sure what you can do since you share it with somebody else ...2 xbox ones on a setup like this , one will be dominate
over the other and will win the battle over ports and traffic...are both devices in your apt or is the arris in his ? either way , any fix would also mess with his ... to get it right , you would need a different setup I'm thinking , the Linksys is probably
ok , the arris , not so much...

Every 30 seconds my game is interrupted by an Xbox Live Gold screen and its showing me the deals for how many months u can buy and its cost- I DO NOT WANT XBOX LIVE !!

I just want to play my game in PEACE !! *sigh* so I click [No thank you] and 30 seconds later it pops up again, it wasn't doing this yesterday and ive tried resetting my console ive tried reading up online what to do, iam at a loss here... i just want to
play my game

Ah. And--all the equipment is set up in the adjoining basement. It is equidistant from my machine as it is his. It is around 1:30am when I'm posting this and the problem just occurred again. He is asleep, no electronics are being used over there, and aside
from a Christmas tree and this computer, no electronics are in use over here.

So I will look into replacing the arris, but should that really be enough? I'm simply not familiar with the identifying and diagnosing things in this realm--but is there a reason, do you think, that having a poor machine like the arris could be responsible
for a game like, say, GTA V working fine for the first week of play, and then falling apart in the second week?

 

GTA V is a different beast , Rockstar servers can be tricky for anybody at times ...are both of you just using wireless to hook up you xbox ones to the Linksys router ? When you search for wireless networks , does the arris and the Linksys both show up?
