    Xbox permission

The system automatically assign the restrictions if you have a child account

You can try using an adult account and add your main account to this family group
You can do it from here:
    https://account.microsoft.com/family/home

Child or age restrictions can't be bypassed if you don't receive an adult approval

Need help with managing time limit for my son whose gamertag is use my email address

Hi. My name is Brilliant, an independent advisor. I am happy to assist you today.

Parent and child accounts on Xbox are designed to help parents manage their children’s gaming activities. A parent account is the primary account that can create and manage child accounts. Child accounts are created for children under the age of 18 and are linked to the parent account. The parent account can set up parental controls, such as screen time limits, content restrictions, and spending limits, for each child account.

You cannot change your account to be a child account. You will have to create a new account for your child.

To create a child account, the parent account must first create a family group. The family group can have up to six members, including the parent account. Once the family group is created, the parent account can add a child account to the group. The child account will be linked to the parent account and will have access to the parent account’s Xbox Live Gold subscription and other benefits.

    I hope this helps.

Unfortunately, you are unable to change the child account to adult. The account will have to "graduate". You can, however, create a new account with a different age. If you are trying to allow the account access to certain content, log into your Xbox One
under the Admin account then add the child account to family. This can be done by going to Settings > Scroll to the right to Add to Family > then add the child's profile. Once this has been completed, log into http;//account.live.com to update content access
for the child account. I hope this information helps.

Still have a Xbox Child account - I changed it years ago?

    Hi

If your account was before a Child account as a part of a Family Group, You'll have to add yourself again into a Family as a Child account. You must use another account as Parent, then after you add your account as Child, you make the privacy changes in
your account through the Parent account. Afterwards; you can remove your account from the Family.

If you don't have another account to make it as Parent, you must create a new one.

The Parent account is Organizer , the Child account is a
    Member

Add a member to Family Group

Remove a member from a Family Group

Change Privacy Setting on Child account

How do I re-add my account to family safety when it won't let me send the invite?

Hello Hanna d, my name is Oskayra, and I will be happy to help you.

Beforehand, it is important that you keep in mind that this is a public community forum, so we are players like you, we are not employees of Microsoft or Xbox. All users help each other with common problems.

I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you, I did an internal search in Microsoft support and I found a publication where it mentions some steps to solve this problem and I thought it was good information, which you should take into account:

If you previously set up family features for a child's account and then upgraded to Windows 10/11, there are a few steps you need to follow to turn family settings back on. Your child will need to sign in to Windows 10/11 with a Microsoft account, and then you'll need to add that account to your family group at https://family.microsoft.com/">https://family.microsoft.com/">https://family.microsoft.com/">https://family.microsoft.com/

Adding members to your family group can help you protect your children while they are online and instill confidence and knowledge about appropriate websites, time limits, applications and games. You can see all family members and edit child settings at https://family.microsoft.com/

Check your child's account on their computer:

Ask your child to log in to the computer.

Select Start menu > Settings, and then select Accounts.

    Select Your account.

If your child is not currently signed in with a Microsoft account, select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead and enter their email address.

If there is already an email address associated with your account, make a note of it. You'll use it to add their Microsoft account to your family group at https://family.microsoft.com/

Add your child's Microsoft account to your family group:

    Sign in at https://family.microsoft.com/

Go to the bottom of your family member list and select Add a Family Member.

Enter the email address your child uses to sign in to Windows 10/11 and select Send invitation.

Your child will have to accept the invitation from their email address.

Once your child has been added to your family with a Microsoft account, you can set restrictions on websites, apps, and game filters for their age, set screen time limits, and see their recent activity. Your settings will apply to any Windows 10/11 device you sign in on.

If you have young children, you can also set up a picture password for them - they'll be able to draw shapes on a photo instead of having to type a password.

    Best regards,
    Oskayra.
