Ohh yeah, I forgot to mention (bc it is irrelevant) but I have tried two separate Xbox one controllers and have the same issue on both (Microsoft deciding how I use things I own)

If you want to complain to Microsoft use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. But Microsoft will not even see it here because this is a tech forums where we are mostly volunteers trying to help solve your
problems.

I would uninstall Game Bar app:

Then try binding the key again using your choice of tool to do this.

It looks like the problem is with their media remote. These yard-apes changed something that basically broke the remote's functionality. You absolutely cannot shut off the console without navigating through the settings menu. They've managed to destroy this
product by tinkering to the point of absurdity. Last microsoft console I ever buy.
