    "One Button to Guide" is a terrible change


    Prior to this, shutdown was a snap...you held the power button on the controller and it brought up the shut down prompt. Now you have to waste time scrolling around to shut down. The shut down feature is burried under the "Settings" menu which is about the
    most unintuitive thing ever. How in the world would a person think, "Ok, I need to shut this thing off, let me navigate to the "Settings" menu because that will surely have the shut down option.

    You guys are jumping the shark with these absurd menu/navigation experiments. Quit making things worse please.

    One Button to Guide

    Any way to turn this off? I hate this "feature" because now it takes longer to go to the home screen. I do not want to have to go through a menu to get access. The side menu "guide" is garbage anyways.

    How many dashboard changes are we going to get? I am hoping this new one will be a lot quicker. I hate how slow the currently dashboard and guide button/menu is. It takes AGES to press the guide button, select a friend and then send him/her a message.

    if you hold down the big-X button it still brings up the menu to shut down the console, if you want to fully shut it down you can hold the power button for 10 seconds, they haven't changed anything

    It looks like the problem is with their media remote. These yard-apes changed something that basically broke the remote's functionality. You absolutely cannot shut off the console without navigating through the settings menu. They've managed to destroy this
    product by tinkering to the point of absurdity. Last microsoft console I ever buy.

    Try power cycling the console by holding down the power button for 10 seconds.

    Restart the console to see if it fixed the problem after.

    Ohh yeah, I forgot to mention (bc it is irrelevant) but I have tried two separate Xbox one controllers and have the same issue on both (Microsoft deciding how I use things I own)
