Once again my gamer tag has been reported

I would like to know how many more times I have till my account is banned. I'm really getting sick of having to change my gt all the time.

My account gamer tag has been reported as offensive because my boyfriend upset a player and he reported me. My gamer tag was not offensive as it was about myself and no other players and I believe it should not of been changed, but it has and now I have
to pay seven pounds to change it which I also think is wrong as it is not my fault that I have to change my gametag. I would appreciate it if my gamer tag could be changed back please.

Well as long as you don't violate the Terms of Service that you agreed to when signing up for Xbox Live you won't have to worry about getting banned.

Do not create a Gamertag, profile content, Avatar content, in-game content, videos, or any other content that other users may be offended by. This includes, without limitation, anything related to or suggestive of:

Profane words or phrases

Topics or content of a sexual nature

Hate speech

Illegal drugs or controlled substances

Illegal activities

Controversial religious topics

Notorious people or organizations

Sensitive current or historical events

Any “sound-alike” or “lookalike” words, phrases, or puns that reference these topics

Keep it clean and you'll be ok.

 

there is no set limit but the the worse the name the faster it will happen. and if your name was rated e for everyone then you would NEVER have to change it. what you may think is cute or funny, may offend somebody else.

 

Yeah screw Xbox. I'm done once Xbox360 is done and no longer supported. I play only m-rated games. Xbox allows me to hear profanity, violence, and much more. And btw this isn't the first time I've been on here complaining about this. I've had same name on
my PlayStation for over 2 years with no issues. So yeah you lost a good customer

 

Doesn't matter what the age rating is on the games you play,xbox live itself is rated "E" for everyone & your gamertag must reflect that.

If your gamertag violates the CoC on PSN & is reported your account is banned,you don't get a 2nd chance.

 

Yeah..I know all about these "rules" I've been dealing with this for 3+ years. I play mostly at night on mature rated games. I kick the crap out of people and then this happens...I knew as soon as I went to bed last night that this would happen. Reason
I know is I was playing mw3. I don't run kill streaks because I will get to many kills and make the game boring but some guy was running his mouth so I truned em on and kept them on..and I'm sure he had his whole party report me. besides half the people I
talk to didn't even know what my name ment. So how would a kid even know. Its just a joke and like I said I don't mind not having to pay to play on my ps3 and soon to be ps4 cause I'm not going thro this anymore. Your system and rules are catering to whinny

Just an FYI, PS has the same rules. Only they would ban your account, not let you change your name.

 

FYI...I don't pay to play I don't pay to change my gt on ps. And also I've had the same gt I've had on here but haven't had any issues with it getting it reported or being banned so your argument is invalid. This whole post is to show the problem. And in
order to fix the problem I inquire myself to be the so called problem. And by letting the good folk at Microsoft know they are losing good customers to this issue is just a start to that process of being fixed.
