On the xbox 360, if i get DLC on one profile, do the other profiles get it as well?

Hello all! Here is the deal i Played and finished mass effect 1-2-3 with all dlc on a friends account we paid 50-50 for the dlc's so, now i wanted to play the trilogy on my account and on my xbox360. So i did all i read here but still cant access the dlc
stuff i transferred the licences of his account to my xbox and downloaded the content but still my account doesnt see them. Anyone knows what can i do? I dont want to rebuy the contents.

since these [Mod Removed – Profanity] forums wont let me edit, to simply put it;

You can only access content that you redeemed on the profile you used to redeem it(content is account bound).

Only way around this is to transfer licenses(both accounts can use the content simultaneously)

I moved your post into a new thread so that we could tailor our support specifically to you!

If the content doesn’t appear in your download history, it usually means that the content wasn't purchased using your account. To re-download the content, make sure you're signed into the account you used to purchase the content.

If you want to transfer the licenses to another account follow these steps:

(you can transfer content licenses to a different Xbox 360 console. However, you can only transfer a license once every four months.)

1. sign in to Xbox Live using the Gamertag that you used to purchase the content.

2. Go to settings, and then select
Account.

3. Under Your Billing Options, select
License Transfer.

5. After you transfer the licenses, download the content again to update the local licenses

(How to re-download previously downloaded or purchased content to your Xbox 360)

(The content is transferred to the console not the Profile. If you remove the content from the console and do not have access to the Original user, then you will not be able to get the content)

Hello. Thanks for the reply. Okay, i did log into the account that i bought the dlc, i transferred the licenses to this console, i re-downloaded every dlc, still i cant access the dlc through my other account.

 

It seems i can access the dlc with any other account i create but not with my xboxlive account

After the content has been installed with the Original user then you have to sign into your account and see if it works. Make sure to test other content that was transferred and see if they work or not.

(If the DLC doesn't work, then it Could just be due to developer changes for Sharing content)

Once the content is installed try disconnecting the Wi-Fi from the console and see if you can use it offline.

Should none of those work, then I recommend doing a "Roll Back".

1.
Clear the system cache

2.
Reinstall the latest Xbox 360 system update (Solution 7)

Okay so i cleared cache, reinstalled the latest update, reseted everything even my modem, managed to play offline. Still i cant access the dlc's. I am trying to play Pinnacle Station of mass effect.

Ok, make sure to sign in with the Original account then re-download the content.

(Even though the content is installed already, click on it with the original account and select download again)

Also, there is a Service alert, so there might be issues with this.

I am logged with the original account and re-downloaded the game. But still the other account doesnt see the dlc in the game. I repeat all other non-xboxlive account see the dlc, only the xboxlive one doesnt see it. Is it possible because it sees it as
another user? Isnt there a way to share it?

 

That would be at the discretion of the developers. I know some games allow all profiles to use all content but others are restricted to only the account that purchased the DLC.
