    on screen keyboard issues


    I am having troubles with the on-screen keyboard not showing up in game for chat, entering someone's gamertag, etc. this only became an issue after the latest update to the console. I have done everything I can think of, to no success. Please help!

    Major On Screen Keyboard Shortcut Issues

    if you use any of the shortcut commands on your controller (Y for Space, X for Delete, etc) for the on-screen keyboard it becomes an absolute nightmare. It massively lags with caps up and down, and then when you think its caught up, it switches again. The
    cursor ends up inputting new text into the wrong part of the screen when using RB LB to move the cursor around despite the cursor being visible where you want it to be. Using delete shows you it's deleting what you want but when you go to type again it starts
    overwriting text. If you click the options by manually selecting it on the screen moving around with your analog or d-pad there is no issue. How is this not fixed!?

    Xbox Dashboard Preview Issue

    I noticed when I look at the friends and followers tab in my profile the very bottom row is cut off and I cant see who the users are (Pic and name cut off).

    I also just downloaded Onigiri and they require me to enter my email to login, but the on screen keyboard never pops up. Im not sure if thats due to the update or not but I have never had keyboard issues before. I will note that the on screen keyboard does
    work when sending messages though.

    Minecraft Bedrock Windows 10 Edition can't find my keyboard. What to do?

    Please open the on-screen keyboard:

    - Go to Start > Search and click on on-screen keyboard.

    - Then, please open Minecraft in window mode (not fullscreen) and see if you can play it using the on-screen keyboard.

    This will let us know if this is an issue with Minecraft not recognizing keyboard inputs or if this is an issue with your particular keyboard (maybe the driver).

    I don't know how, but Minecraft automatically got fixed without censoring keyboard. Thanks for answering my question.

    pop up keyboard on xbox when using edge?

    I meant that when u type using keyboard on xbox edge browser a pop on screen keyboard also appears which blocks the screen i was asking if their was a way to remove that pop up keyboard when using a keyboard

    I feel the need to also mention that whilst this may not be the cause (I doubt it is tbh), when using the on-screen keyboard and typing things out with a controller, it exacerbates the issue. So, if your testers are not using a controller and are instead
    using usb keyboards (and not noticing the issue as a result), it'll probably be a good idea to test it without the keyboard.

    Just thought you should know, because it is entirely possible imo.

    I am Lumie and I would love to assist you today.

    I am so sorry you are having issues with your Xbox screen keyboard.

    There isn't a direct way to disable the on-screen keyboard on Xbox consoles as of yet.

    While not a permanent solution, you can simply close the keyboard when it appears. Pressing the Win + Esc keys together will usually minimize it.
