    First, to troubleshoot the issue, Press and hold the Xbox button in the controller for 5-10 seconds, until it turns off. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on. If that doesn't resolve the issue, you will have to get the controller replaced either by checking with the retailer (the store purchased from) or by following what's mentioned here => Request an Xbox controller replacement | Xbox Support.

    I just got my xbox one elite today and the controller is pointless because I cant map anything. Spoke to a rep and they ended up on telling me to wait till the app is fixed.

    Left bumper won't work on brand new controller.

    My left bumper on my Xbox 360 controller was messed up, I had to press it real hard for it to work, it was brand new. This happens sometimes, I got a replacement controller for 3 dollars at Wal-Mart.
