On April 30th, was unable to get/download April's Games with Gold (Rayman Legends, Child ...

Hi Promotion Specialists,

I purchased an Xbox One quite recently, and on April 30th I read about the Xbox Live Games with Gold service.

According to your own website, the xbox store inside my xbox, as well as several other websites, Rayman Legends and Child of Light would be given for free if I purchased an xbox live subscription, because they are part of the games with gold for the month
of April.

My wife wants to play these and I am pretty interested too, so when I got home from work I purchased an Xbox Live subscription and keyed it in at 8pm Mountain Standard Time, April 30th 2015 (which is the time my xbox is set to).

I immediately went to the 'store' in the xbox and tried to get these 2 games, but unfortunately it kept saying that it would cost me $40 for Rayman and $15 for Child of Light. I tried restarting my xbox, but this did not help. I tried going to your website
(Games with Gold | Xbox Live) on my computer and clicking on those games, but it wanted to charge me money too, even though I was signed in with my account
[Mod Removed].

Interestingly, I am able to download the "CastleStorm" game for free, even though that game should not be available for another 4 hours (it is a games with gold month of May game). I haven't downloaded it yet, though, because it is still April.

So it appears that someone/something shut off access to April games 1 day early for everyone.

So I clicked the links to get a chat support agent, and they attempted to help me. Unfortunately they ran into the same issue as I did: they could not get these games either, even though it was still April in all states in the USA. They promised to email
me within an hour or two, though I did not receive yet. The support ticket for that conversation is [Mod Removed]

After waiting 2.5 hours, I started a new chat session at 11:30pm, and after bringing up the agent up to speed he was unable to help me. He did direct me to post here though, saying that you guys and girls should be able to help me. The ticket for that

Can you please help me by giving me 'games with gold' access to "Rayman Legends" and "Child of Light"?

They are pretty much the only reason I purchased Xbox Live, and I purchased Live on time, in April, and tried to download these 2 games while it was still in April. These two games were promised by both the xbox and your website, if I purchased Live.

Xbox one games with gold missing from library

I'm also having this problem. In particular, I'm quite certain I grabbed Child of Light when it was available. I'm also pretty sure I picked up Massive Chalice. Now that I've got an Xbox One I see Rayman Legends and Deer God, but nothing else that I've
picked up through games with gold, including Child of Light. My household only has the one xbox live account, so it was definitely that one that was used. I'm very concerned. Child of Light was actually one of the bigger reasons I was excited to finally
get the console.

there have been good and bad xbox one free games loved crimson dragon and lately there has been rayman legends and child of light which is excellent

Sorry to hear about the issue with downloading April's Games with Gold! Unfortunately the only offers that will be available now with a Xbox Live Gold membership are PoolNationFX and CastleStorm . I can definitely understand how frustrating this could be,
however, feel free to take advantage of this month's Games with Gold offers. Keep in mind that each month these offers will change, you can keep an eye on which games will be available on our Games
with Gold page. Once again, I am truly sorry to hear about the issue and any inconveniences this may have caused.

 

But I signed up for Live & Games with Gold before the end of April.

I could not get the April games, due to a bug on Microsoft's side.

I was told to post here, because you guys are able to fix this and get me access to the games that I should have had access to.

Sorry for the confusion, but we are unable to provide access to Child of Light or any game here in the Support Forums. As I said above, with an Xbox Live Gold membership, you can have access to this months Games with Gold only.

 

Veqryn, I may be able to shed a little light on the issue you had, since it kinda happened to me too.

I was unable to download the games for May. I would click on the Xbox One add for Games with gold, and nothing would show up. at all. I looked on the website as well, but it prompted me to buy it. I am for sure a gold member as well, as my billing statement
clearly shows I had gold properly purchased for the time.

I have a feeling like it might be something to do with online purchases of gold (using a credit card to buy it instead of getting the prepaid cards). I think there's some sort of error that goes through the system with it.

that being said, everything is back to normal with June's Games with gold. It sucks that it happened, cause no one wants to lose out on games, but I don't think there's an immediate fix.
