On again off again

My X Box One S keeps turning itself on, usually a few times per day. I worry that it's going to shorten the life of my console as it's operating for who knows how many hours.

What's odd about it is I took the batteries out of the controller and remote and when I go to the input list on the TV to select the port the X Box is connected to when it turns itself on the TV isn't registering that it's getting a signal for that port,
it wont be highlighted as active. Simply pushing the power button doesn't do anything, you have to hold it for several seconds and trying to turn it off with the controller or remote doesn't work since when I turn the controller on it begins searching for
the console but never connects.

Usually it happens when I am asleep and then happens again when I am at work. Some days it doesn't do it at all.

Thoughts? Fixes?

Got a refurbished Xbox one and didn't have any paperwork with it, but it keeps turning on and off by itself. Is there something I can do or is it just possessed? That would explain why someone got rid of it

If you have access to another power supply you could see if that helps otherwise you are probably going to need to have it repaired. You can contact support for assistance with getting it repaired. Contact Us | Xbox Support

Hey ogre302! Double check your update settings and your
power mode and see what they are set to. The console may be turning on to complete game or system updates. Post back and let me know what your settings are. Thanks!

I see others posting about the skyscanner ad making it impossible to play the games. Been going on for days and days. What is being done about it? It
