Discus and support Ompt to ctia adapters? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I read on the help section from Xbox, that you could purchase an adapter which would allow users to conver a headset with inline mic from ompt to ctia....     Ompt to ctia adapters?


    I read on the help section from Xbox, that you could purchase an adapter which would allow users to conver a headset with inline mic from ompt to ctia. (I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but I would like it to work). I have since purchased 3 adapters
    that claim to do this, none of which worked. Anyone have experience with this problem that could help? Thanks.

    Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter Compatibility Question

    And yes, the Apple Headset Jacket of all Apple gadgets uses CTIA standard..

    The iPhone and Macbook Pro uses CTIA standard.

    And the Apple Earpods uses CTIA standard.

    So, the Z11 will be compatible with Stereo Headset Adapter.

    Is
    this guide     the one you read on Xbox.com already? If not, do give it a read through and work through the steps provided. What headset are you attempting to connect to your Xbox One console? Per the guide I linked, the following headsets are not compatible
    with the Xbox One:

    • Mad Catz Tritton Warhead headset
    • Mad Catz Tritton Primer headset (Mad Catz offers an adapter for the Primer headset to convert the 2.5-mm audio jack to a 3.5-mm audio jack. Contact Mad Catz for support.)
    • The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and Xbox 360 Wireless Bluetooth Headset
    • Headsets with this 2.5-mm connector will not work because of the connector format. This connector includes a long, cylindrical pin in the middle of the connecting side that does not fit into the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.

    Since third-party products didn't work. I would highly advice that you get the Xbox One Headset Adapter instead. This will be a one time cost but should definitely work.

    Mic not being picked up with stereo adapter

    There are two different 3.5mm TRRS standards: OMTP and CTIA. They are identical, except ground and mic pins are switched. I BELIEVE the Xbox One adapter uses the OMTP standard, so headsets designed to the CTIA standard (Apple products of note) wont work.
    You can get an in-line adapter to switch these pins to make one compatible with the other. Google "omtp to ctia adapter"
