OMOCAT situation

(I would like to say that this is not an attack or threat, just a(n) question/explanation )

It has come to many fans attention that the Omori game was delisted from the Xbox platform on June 30th of this year. Many people were confused and concerned about the meaning behind this until the answer became more apparent. The answer to the problem seemed to come from OMOCAT's past events, more specifically 2013–2014.

OMOCAT had created a certain t-shirt and published it on her website for customers to purchase back in 2013. The t-shirt included a drawing of a character OMOCAT had drawn with the name "Shota Boy" and the word "Shota" written in a bold handwritten font across the front. At the time, the word shota had a much different meaning than it does now. The original definition of the word was an anime term for a little boy, used in a caring context. However, between the year she published the shirt on her website, the meaning of the word began to change and gained a much deeper use.

Fans began to suspect that this meant OMOCAT was a disgusting person who liked the topic of younger boys. She had also Tweeted some questionable things out of confusion and frustration in regards to the situation. People posted online threats about her with hate and disgust.

In 2014, she posted an apology on Tumblr for her words and explained how she just felt a bit irritated. After she posted the apology, she took the t-shirt off of her website. OMOCAT before and now still doesn't go on much social media, so there wasn't much of a way for her to possibly learn about the new sudden use of the word.

Her history still has some effect on her social life today, which has of course led to her game being removed from Xbox and no longer being a partner with Microsoft.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this; I'm sorry if some parts came off harsh. I guess I'm just a bit irritated myself, and I know some other fans of the masterpiece would love to have it back (especially since we have all of our progress on it-)

There is no additional information available, there likely won't be until if and when it reappears in the store

No reason has been given for its removal, and none is likely to be made public. It will, or will not show back up in the store

But I seriously doubt, if this was the problem, that the game ever would've been put in the store to begin with, As according to you this incident precedes game pass by many years

I understand what your theory is trying to say, but that wouldn't really make since because

A. OMORI being on Xbox wouldn't make Microsoft lose sales, and Microsoft knows this, therefore they'd have no reason to remove it COMPLETELY from the game store

B. If Microsoft DID care, they probably wouldn't of had OMORI on the game store in the first place

And it definitely wasn't a mistake, because that would've been fixed by now, leading it to all lead to the cause being from the dev team

I would understand if you don't believe what I said, I'm just someone saying that the devs of the game you like are keeping you in the dark, and to not believe me is completely understandable

Note: if the Microsoft team was to say that the reason they are no longer doing business is because of the shirt, they are most likely lying and just using it as an excuse to keep things private, or save face

I have the same issue, I've already emailed Omocat regarding the issue, I'd recommend you do the same if Omori is to last on the xbox platform

So let us begin with the *** *** FORSAKEN "T-SHIRT". Back in 2013 OMOCAT released two T-shirts but one is of more importance being a design of Omori with his super smash bros alt color and giving you more of a stink eye with the word "shota" under him (just search "OMOCAT shota shirt" if want to look at it). Shotacon means "the attraction to young (or young-looking) boy characters" so yikes but that not "shota" instead "shota" mean basically calling someone very young or a femboy (seems a lot of people have just shorten shotacon to shota). That it then, no as I haven talked about OMOCAT unhinged tweets yet.

During this time OMOCAT just started acting like crazy person on our favorite platform Twitter now X. some of her rambling include "i wish i was drifloon so i could steal children" or "hi just to be clear i love little boys and no that is not strange because i was a litte girl not too long ago" and one about shota underwear but I cant find it

but the one to make the fire burn even brighter is this "shota isnt exclusively erotic; i'm not a pedophile, nor an ableist, nor a scammer, nor a racist, so stop calling me those things" as you can tell OMOCAT was getting a little upset and no I don't no were the whole racist and ableist **** comes from but the scammer stuff is about the OMORI Kickstarter but don't know why it got called a scam :mad:

OHOHO! Well when OMORI got delisted, there was no reason give why and still is so like all things were there is no cause for what happen, people start theory crafting. On the Jun 7 user @HoreWaist on the slop pit currently X formally twitter posted a support message from Microsoft saying that the partnership with OMOCAT has ended.

This was the only leed people had and people started wondering why the partnership had ended, now let me tell you something, some people still hold hatred for OMOCAT ( look at any posts she has made, she still got people calling her a predator and just look for self's here https://twitter.com/its_omocat )

so its easy to say that some individuals brought up that "T-shirt" and this little idea started being push around for what happen.
