Can confirm it's possible, but I ended up with Aspergers.

It was worth it to have my Wild ARMs though. That's where my Gamertag came from.

I've also got a similar problem, but not quite as bad as yours.

My Day 1 console is still working fine, not matter how much I use it, it simply wont die.

My Day 1 controller though has thankfully died.

My new controller though is in the same state as my Day 1 console, still working fine.

WHY OH WHY MICROSOFT DO YOU CREATE ELECTRONICS THAT JUST KEEP ON WORKING????

My day one console is still running strong (I try not to talk about it, don't want to play games with fate). Original controller chugging along too. I guess I am that .01% that didn't get an exploding box.

I guess you don't think "good news" is allowed here. That's too bad. People can come to these forums and moan all they please, but some of us will continue to be happy with our choices.

Are people posting in the wrong sections with their complaints and cries for help? Yes, they absolutely are. I find it difficult to believe however that you'd disagree that finding where to post is as easy as it used to be.

Which swings to the 'active as it has been' comment. To be honest I think, you are right, you really are sadly right. This forum has been limping along with the same small handful of regulars for a long time now. Do you really think this thread encourages
new visitors to want to become part of this community? Sure it is fun for the regulars, but all new people are going to see is nastiness.

I absolutely support good news being posted. The Xbox brand is fantastic for gaming. So why aren't you posting good news? Why aren't you starting threads about what is great about the Xbox brand and the games available on it instead of threads mocking people?
Even news threads I've seen you post are so dour that it's hard to believe you have any excitement about the subjects.
