OMGoth! I Have A Problem With My Two Xbox One Consoles! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

First I want to start by saying I'm not a loyal MS groupie. I have Xbox's and Playstations because I like to play games. Kwazy right?

Anyways, I have a problem.

I have two Day 23 Xbox One's that are still working fine. This just doesn't seem right to me because obviously they should have blown up by now since both are over 3 years old now. (I'm too lazy to do the official math)

What makes this problem even worse is the fact that all my accessories that came with them (headsets and controllers) also still work fine.

Is this not insane? (some would say kwazy)

Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

I guess I'll just say (non sarcastically) thanks MS! Great job... blah blah blah.





P.S. I'm not buying a Playstation because I already have one.

2 Wired Controllers both "Sync" in the 1st Position (or as Player 1)

I have tried all USB ports

Today I have tried two different consoles in two different shops, both XBOX 4 GB slim with a kinect.

The different consoles have the same problem with these two controllers.

 

My day one console is still running strong (I try not to talk about it, don't want to play games with fate). Original controller chugging along too. I guess I am that .01% that didn't get an exploding box.

 

We better report this problem then. Done! bowski we need your help....

 

For a group of people who bemoan the lack of activity on this forum, you all sure do go out of your way to be antagonistic to people who come here with issues.

This is the official Xbox forum after all, where do you think people with problems are going to come to complain about them? Instead of mocking these people, try offering them solutions.

If the current crop of regulars were my first experience of the people on this forum, I wouldn't want to be a part of it either.

A bit too serious if you ask me. And Xbox Forums ISN'T the first place people complain or give feedback about Xbox. There's this thingy called XBOX SUPPORT (chat/phone) or YouTube or facebook and more. Here's another official site for feedback. Microsoft

My 500GB console hasn't blown up

My Kinect hasn't died and has survived an earthquake

My Microsoft Autographed Day One Controller hasn't got stolen

I have been a loyal Xbox fan for over 205,120,188 seconds

I'm even friends with an X Xbox (forum) moderator

And I'm famous on Google search engine (my gamertag)

Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

I remember when I had a xbox,PS2 & Gamecube all set up & played games on all 3.I did explode.

 

When I have a problem with... any product... I don't come to a "discussion forum" looking for official support. If I have difficulty finding any "official support" on a site, I may try their discussion forum(s) because I do know that good answers can come
from those who own my product and have experience. But I will most certainly think my post through and not just angrily type some ridiculous rant thread that berates the company, calls it and half of its employees stupid or much worse, threaten to sue, buy
a competitor's product etc. etc.

I think you'll find if you hang around here as much as some of us (Haven't seen you in quite awhile unless you're just lurking) that there are those of us who are more than willing and happy to help people who are having issues, as long as they don't come
in here acting like someone just punched their dog. Go look up some of my posts. I'll wait. Or I can save you the time if you prefer and tell you that I'm a very 'respond-in-kind' type of person. Those who come here and know how to act like mature people who
are simply having an issue and looking for an answer will find that I am more than happy to offer whatever help I can. This forum and its users can be as friendly and helpful as those who come here with problems. I've seen it... done it... myself.

But then you have those who are just too angry and frustrated to bother thinking about the fact that they're posting in a discussion forum. Or that it may be frequented by people who've had the product for years with few issues and actually like the product
(shortcomings and all). They show no forethought, little or no regard for forum etiquette, other users' experiences and wouldn't understand self control if they took a class for it.

If numerous people come into any forum on a regular basis and take a **** then it should come as no surprise when they end up with responses and a thread that smells like it. This thread may be inappropriate in context, but it stands out to me as much more
of a reflection of those who are not regulars than those who are.

 

Famous by what metric? I'm posting from Xbox One so there's no Google search engine, but Bing returns only FOURTEEN results for "smileskybird". When all is said and done, the internet of 'things' suggests that 14 out of infinity means that you can't count.
Obvs.

I guess you don't think "good news" is allowed here. That's too bad. People can come to these forums and moan all they please, but some of us will continue to be happy with our choices.

Instead of mocking those who don't moan, try appreciating them. Those "regs" keep these forums alive. You're welcome.

 

Speaking of choices, I've patiently sat on the fence when it comes to replacing my Blu-ray player "of choice". For the longest time, I've sworn by PlayStation 3 (using a dual shock, playback is fast and furious compared to the dithering Xbox alternative),
but 4K playback is something else again. Until I "choose" to go there, my world revolves around Xbox GAMES. Likewise, I've also looked on while [PS4] got a bunch of gaming exclusives in the last few months, and this *may* have tempted me to upgrade. But then,
like a bolt out of the blue, Forza Horizon 3 gets an upgrade - HOT WHEELS! Oh my lordy... the PlayStation faithful might be gagging for moar Turismo, but nothing compares to this. WipEout Omega? Close call, but apparently we're getting Redout... yes, it may
well be a clone, but it's not like I need to upgrade my console to see the difference!
