omg - HELP!!! i installed Smartglass on my phone and now the TV is showing a blank screen..?

earlier tonight i decided to delve in to my hubby's xbox one console and see what its capabilities were... i hadn't heard of smartglass but when i found out i could turn my phone into a remote for the One, i thought
it's be cool to mess around with it. after installing smartglass, i was able to find and connect to the One... after doing that i was able to swipe through the menus and whatnot without issue. but then suddenly, the TV display went black and nothing is showing
up... i have NO CLUE wtf i did, but if i don't figure it out before hubby gets home, he's not gonna be a happy camper. ANY IDEAS..???

Smartglass Not Working on Windows 8 PC

I have the same problem. I am trying to connect to my tv through smartglass in my android (Samsung S6) phone. I just see blank screen on my phone. I don't see those red, yellow green blue buttons on my phone.

 

OneGuide no longer showing profile picture on Console

Just recently I noticed my OneGuide showing a blank picture on the top left corner on the console only.

It works fine on SmartGlass though. I've tried resetting the console and troubleshooting TV/OneGuide, still no luck. Is there any fix for this?[View:https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B1AobXbIYAA59m5.jpg:550:0]

 

HA! this technically challenged girl *finally* stumbled upon a forum that explained the "black screen of death" phenomena and how to fix it... AND - I WAS VINDICATED of culpability for the problem in the first place..!

if, by some chance, someone else out there in xbox land is experiencing this problem, the fix is easy... HARD REBOOT! (hold down the power button on your console for 5-8 seconds). wait a minute or so and power the console back on... 99% of the time, this
solves the problem (according to what i've been reading in forums...).
