    Omega version/update problem (Accessories App)


    Hi,

    I was trying to test the keyboard controller mapping feature that is currently in Omega state on my Elite Controller Series 2.

    My OS version: 10.0.25398.1762 (xb_flt_2308zn.230831 - 1430)

    Also, I joined Omega Ring.

    According to my research this version should include the keyboard mapping feature but I can only switch between Button and Action tab in the button settings and the space next to action tab is blank.

    Any help is appreciated.

    That is actually not a bad idea. Staying in the Omega ring has very low risk. But in case something does go wrong, one can still revert the firmware update if it was still an omega version. And then block firmware updates until a fix is available.

    The main issue with this broken firmware release is that there is no way to roll back to an older firmware version.

    I have the same problem with a controller I bought yesterday. The problem is that we have "a standard controller", the app "xbox accessories" is made for "elite controller". This means the app has updated the firmware on wrong version of our controller wich
    is not usable anymore.

    he is using an outdated version of windows 10, he needs to update to the latest version of windows 10 before he can update and use the accessories app, it is nothing to do with the current firmware issue on the controller.
    Oh.. Sorry..

    I'm just really frustrated with xbox accessories app pc. Can't configure my xbox elite series.
