    Omega build Xbox Insider Hub app opening loop/softlock


    Not sure if this is the right place to post this or if this is a known issue, but just tried to open the Xbox insiders hub today after a few days of not checking it and it threw me into a completely unavoidable and endless loop of “getting your app ready” and the game crashing until I turn off the console. I’d report it as a problem but can’t because no matter what you do it keeps trying to open the hub app. Anyone else encountering this?

    Hi, it depends what ring you are in. Currently there is no insider build for Beta, Delta and Omega rings, this means you will be on the current public build.
    So I was in the beta, but I would like to take my console from the insider and not receive more updates and the insider hub app is not getting my console off, it just stays on hold.

    Open the Insiders app on your Xbox and make sure you're not a part of the Xbox Omega beta testing

    xbox offline software update file version is old, could you post the new one

    As previously advised, the version, 18363.7196.191016-1200, is an Omega Insider build; refer to Insider Hub >Manage Devices; so therefore a OSU (Offline System Update) cannot be used unless the console is first unenrolled from the Insider preview program.

    I assume a public operating system build - how would i know?
    If you have owned the console since new and never enrolled in the Xbox Insider preview (downloaded the Xbox Insider Hub and joined) then you will be on a public build. If it is a pre owned console, then download the Insider Hub app from the Xbox store and
    open it. On the left hand side of the landing screen you will see settings, open that and go to manage devices. It will show there if it is enrolled and you can remove it if it is. They do recommend not using an extension (though most I would suspect, here
    in the UK do)
