    Older Xbox 360 controllers on Xbox 360 E


    I have been using Xboxes since the beginning and currently have 4 Xbox 360's (Original Black Elite, Original White, Slim and E). I was moving from the Original White to an E model and I am finding that my old White wireless controllers are not connecting
    to the E model. I tried 4 different white controllers I was using with the original White and Black Elite. None will sync up to the E Model. Is this a change in the E Models (new controllers type only from the Slim and E models)? Has there been changes
    to the controllers firmware over time that would prevent them from working with the E Model (how do I know which ones will/will not work if I look at the model info inside the battery compartment).

    I was thinking I could get e newer console and still use all the accessories...is there more I should know about before I replace my other older ones?

    Does Xbox one play the older games or just new ones? Are the controllers the same? I.E. set on the same cradle chargers as 360 controllers?

    Old Xbox 360 controller not working on slim

    My old Xbox 360 controller works on my Xbox phat, but why can't it work on the slim?? When I try to connect it to the Xbox, the controller flashes and doesn't connect. The Xbox slim controllers and old controllers are nothing different except the dome button
    is chrome.

    All 360 controllers work with all 360 consoles dunno why you are having issues.

    Well, I think I have isolated it to the battery packs I purchased (4800mAh NiMH). When I put regular batteries in the AA battery cases, they worked like they should. These battery packs are only working correctly with the new type controllers...the old
    controller turn on with the batteries but don't sync with any of my Xboxes (tested on the white and black elite). Very strange. I just got the batteries at Christmas and that is when I got the E Model 360 so it was coincidental that it all happened then.

    Microsoft actually did change the battery packs around 2006 or 2007 if I recall correctly so that would indeed by your issue.

    Microsoft actually did change the battery packs around 2006 or 2007 if I recall correctly so that would indeed by your issue.

    The best XBOX 360 Revision ist the Corona Version build in the older XBOX 360 Slim, not the E Version. That Mainboard was build in the last XBOX 360 Slim and the first XBOX 360 E.

    The XBOX 360 E has not all Ports like USB or the Video Ports as the older Slim Version. But the older Slim Version has the same Mainboard Base.

    WRW01 - XBox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel with Force Feedback will not connect to newer console

    The new XBox 360 is in a basement area below the first floor room where the older XBox 360 is located. I have tried connecting the WRW01 from 6' away I have tried from 6" away. I have my work laptop computer and another Windows Vista computer nearby. All
    devices are hard-wired into the network. The wireless router for the home is on the first floor in the furthest corner from this location.

    When the XBox 360 upstairs is plugged in the WRW01 will communicate with it from the basement. In an attempt to switch it over I have unplugged the upstairs XBox 360.

    I have also been successful in taking one of my other older XBox 360 controllers from upstairs XBox 360 and adding it instead as a controller to the downstairs XBox 360. There are no more than two controllers connected to either XBox 360.
