Discus and support older TV is not HDMI in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I want to set up our new Xbox One S to an older TV that is not HDMI compatible.     I want to set up our new Xbox One S to an older TV that is not HDMI compatible. Is there some type of adapter I can purchase somewhere?

    Can I Direct Connect XboxOne to TV?

    Yeah...it's not as silly and simple as the original question seems. For us, the video comes through, but no audio. The tv is older -- only one HDMI port, so we tried an HDMI splitter, but still no luck....

    Ok, I may be imagining things, but I just noticed something.

    I bought a new TV, now I have a Samsung 46" LED 6400 and the jerkyness seems gone when watching TV. My older TV was a 5+ years old Samsung 32" LCD LN32A550P.

    The difference between them is that the old one uses HDMI 1.3 and the new one uses HDMI 1.4. So my question is, are your TVs old? Do you know what HDMI it uses?

    I still have to test it more to see if it really solves it or not.

    You can certainly use an HDMI to Component adapter, but the video and sound quality will obviously be well below what the console is capable of producing.

    Hi!

    Yes there are HDMI->Scart/RGB adapters, but calculate that converting the digital-to-analog signal loses quality. Anyway on Amazon there are lots of low price deals like this.

    Xbox One will not with smaller TVs (32inch and 24inch), but works with big samsung (50 inch)

    I tried on an older Toshiba 37 inch, 1080p, 4 hdmi outputs. No luck, is there some setting that smart tvs that older HD tvs dont have? Is there an xbox setting?

    ^ perhaps when you have to work for your own money you may realise that not every one can afford to just replace TV's and such like as and when they like.
