Old Xbox Avatar compatibility

Discus and support Old Xbox Avatar compatibility in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have a bunch of stuff for my avatar (mostly free stuff) and now I feel like all of my old Xbox avatar items will go to waste when this update comes...     Old Xbox Avatar compatibility


    I have a bunch of stuff for my avatar (mostly free stuff) and now I feel like all of my old Xbox avatar items will go to waste when this update comes into play! TL;DR New update with incompatible, old items.

    Will the old items be compatible or not?

    Avatars?

    The big compatibility update for Windows 10 and Xbox are going to both use avatars viable across both shared systems.

    Also, avatars are about as useful as... well... pictures of oneself on the internet representing your likeness in a digital world.

    i ran into a promotion on your website two days back that offered a free game lost odyssey for xbox1

    the promotion stated download the avatar item and get a free copy of lost odyssey for xbox one as a promotion for back wards compatibility. I got the avatar item but no copy of lost odyssey for xbox one.

    NEW Avatar wearing purchases from old Avatar app.... Possible?

    The old avatars and avatar content is not compatible with the new avatar system. I have lots of items that I wish I could transfer to my new avatar. We do have the option to use either avatar we wish as a profile.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. Are you playing this game on an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One since the game is backwards compatible? Are you customizing

    the new avatar or the old avatar    ? The console must be connected to Xbox Live to upload the updated avatar information. If you are using an Xbox One, we recommend

    testing the network and multiplayer connections in the network settings    . This will help us determine if there is an Xbox Live connection error. Be sure to let us know the results!

    Hi WilkesUSMC,

    sorry to hear. As I know, the new avatar is not compatible with the old one!! The parts you bought for the old avatar could not be used - the Import should only help to find a matching new one. But in my eyes they looks so different!!! My reason why I kept
    my old ones.

    But maybe they have change the dress up/wearing thing and you can use the paid avatar clothes!

    How to change Xbox original avatar

    There are two differents apps - one for the old avatars, one for the new avatars.

    You will have to install and use the old app, "Xbox Original Avatars".
