    you will need to first get a transfer kit to move all your data from your old Xbox 360 to the slim Xbox 360.Also you will need to get a hard drive for the Xbox 360 slim to transfer all the data from your old Xbox to the slim Xbox 360.

    Xbox 360 Slim HDD able to be an external hardrive?

    My dad and I are wondering about being able to use the Xbox 360 Transfer Cable as a cable to connect the new Xbox Slim HDD to the old Xbox 360 as an external hardrive.

    Is this possible?

    I don't want the new xbox. I just want to purchase a Slim HDD with 250GB and use that as an external hardrive for my old Xbox 360. I am just wondering what the cable would be if there is one. I don't want to move data, just add space for data without having
    to purchase an Xbox Slim.

    I'm afraid that it is not possible to do as you explain. You will need to move the save data to the cloud, since Xbox 360 and Xbox one operating systems are different and also not all 360 games are backward compatible with xbox one. How to move data to

    Happy to take a look at this with you, for starters have you successfully moved your save data from the Xbox 360 into the cloud to download on the Xbox One? Also are you using the same profile on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One? Here is a guide that will show
    you how to move the save data from the Xbox 360 into the cloud.
    Copy, move or delete Xbox saved games, profiles, and avatar items    .

    Make sure the save data is in the cloud and let us know how that goes!
