    I had a very noisy PSU which has been like that for some time. Since it was out of warranty now, I ordered a new one from Xbox Online Services.

    It just arrived but obviously it's not a new PSU at all with scratches all over. There is no original packaging or some nylon sticker that you would expect on those shiny part. Does this happen a lot? Apparently, these PSUs get noisy as time passes and the
    reason for me to buy a new one was just to replace it as I couldn't take that noise anymore.

    I am now trying to replace it but it is not listed in my accessories. I would expect it to be included under warranty now as I bought it new.

    It's a shame...

    Confusion with power bricks.

    Actually you are incorrect, as you can see in the following image, the newer sockets have bits of plastic which prevent them from slotting into the wrong console, these bits of plastics are simply add-ons to the original design and if you match the images
    together, you will see that the 203W socket will fit into the 150W console. In fact, My Elite is currently running off a 175W PSU although it came with a 150W PSU. An older console will not accept a newer PSU due to insufficient power but a newer console will
    accept an older PSU.

    Xbox Slim PSU (Power Supply Unit)

    Hello

    So basically my old 250 G Xbox Slim (S series) would cut out after 20-30 Minutes of gameplay. So I decided to buy a 4G Xbox Slim (S Series).

    Now here lies my problem. I want to use the Power Cord from the new 4Gb Slim (S series) on the old 250Gb Slim (S series) but looking at the bottom of the PSU, I see that my old 250Gb (S series) PSU has a 135W output while my new 4G PSU has only 125W output.

    Is the new 4Gb PSU safe to use on the old Console????

    Xbox 360 issues

    The Hum of the PSU's tranformer is normal VacuumXylia.. But, if LED on the end of the PSU flickers, it is a clear sign of the PSU internals failing & it should be replaced.. If you have problems, buying a new console.. There are secondhand/Refurbished alternatives
    for sale @ EBgames/Game etc..

    You will be surprised at what a failing Power Brick will do, Nielo TM... People, have even put YouTube Videos up about it...

    Seeing how the physycal Eject button wasn't working properly & Booting was slow, the voltage/current output of PSU could be low & causing circuit & perfromance problems etc.. Same, thing, with a PC PSU & if it starts to fail, performance drops & posting
    slows etc...

    You're asking if you can substitute a 360 PSU for an Xbox One PSU? No.

    You're sending in your PSU? Why? Exchange the system with your retailer. The Xbox One is less than 30 days old.

    You will also need a new PSU(UK 240v), or if you intend to use the US PSU a step down transformer to convert the UK 240v to US 120v (if that is the rating of the US PSU).

    I bought a cyberpower PC that was build in 2006 can i add HDMI ports and wifi hardware to upgrade it ?

    You could probably find an old usb 3.controller but you are going to need a.new. GPU as they do come with hdmi but it's unlikely your psu would support an new gpu

    But that pc is so old it won't run a current game

    You are better off buying a new pc the amount of components you would need outweigh the benefits you would have to find a old gpu that supports something that old and q new psu and games that support that old cpu

    220v Power Supply

    Hi, I am still waiting for the new PSU but yesterday I received a 220v to 110v converter with 400W and It's working really well with the US PSU.

    So for the moment even without the EU PSU I can play,

    I will keep you updated regarding the EU PSU but I was chatting yesterday with xbox assistance and there is a small problem as I did not get the tracking number. Nobody knows the tracking number of the EU PSU so they are "investigating".
