    Quite a long time ago at this point I had purchased Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and Fallout 3 on my Xbox 360 through the marketplace. I went to re-download them to play them again, and it's asking me to repurchase them. In fact, all of my purchases before
    January of 2012 have been wiped from my transaction list despite having had my account for at least 4 years at this point and having made purchases before 2012.

    Have you tried redownloading the content from your download history?

    ok so my hard drive was stolen so i sold my xbox and bought a new one i had almost all the guitar hero 3 downloadables i had worms, watchmen, battle field 1943 and sonic 3 from what i can remember i had every thing i needed for halo 3 and for some reason
    i cannot redownload all the stuff i had bought and i want to know why. i paid for it and i want it back plaese help me!!!

    Have you been using the same Xbox Live profile for the entirety of this time period?

    It sounds like January 2012 could be when this account was created and you were using another one before this. If so, all the purchases will be available for download from the other account.

    However, another thought occurred to me when re-reading your post - when you say transaction list, what are you talking about? If you mean the transaction history on your billing page, then ignore the earlier part of this response as that only displays for
    a certain time period. Instead, go to your Purchase History (on console: Settings/Account/Download History, on PC:
    live.xbox.com/.../history) and you should be able to locate the games and re-download them.

    To add to the posts already in this thread, I would recommend
    completing that license transfer     for your old account on your new console. The way the transfer works is that once you have your new console set as the main console for your old account, the licenses will be tied to that console, meaning all profiles should
    be able to use the DLC.

    If you delete the old account, just make sure you know the log in information.

    If you change consoles, in order to use the shareable content on any other profiles, you have to download the old profile and do a license transfer and redownload.

    nothing can be transferred to another account but if both accounts are on the same console then both accounts should be able to use the content with the exception of Avatar items.
