    Old profile not accessible


    I went onto another console with my profile on it, and when i logged onto my profile it said it couldn't connect, and that i will need to redownload my profile. So, i deleted my account off of the console and tried to redownload it into it. I typed in
    my account and password for downloading my profile, and it gave me a whole new profile. This had happened before because i remember the name of this new profile. I looked up my old profile name, and it was still there. How do i get my old profile instead of
    this fresh one?

    When I load up home screen, nothing is accessible. My profile is signed in but not even settings menu will open.

    Question about changing email

    To confirm: you're wanting to change the email address (Microsoft Account) associated with your Xbox Live profile?

    In which case, everything remains associated with the Xbox Live profile (purchases, gamerscore, game history, friends, current subscriptions and so on), it's just the underlying MSA (Microsoft Account, the email address) which gets changed.

    However, the funds remain on the old MSA so do not get transferred to your new one, so this will no longer be associated with your Xbox Live profile. The funds should remain accessible on the current/old MSA, but do no transfer across along with the Xbox
    Live profile.

    support.xbox.com/.../forgot-microsoft-account-solution

    And the the I need to find my account email address link. This should be hopefully direct you to the email address linked to the profile, or failing that direct you to xbox support!

    Hopefully you get the issue resolved promptly!

    In order to get the adult profile to work, I removed my 11-year old son's profile from the XBOX and then "connected" under my adult log in. Then, even after I reinstalled his profile, I could access my adult profile, but he could still not access it. My
    18-year old installed his profile and my 11-year old can use his. If you really wanted to, I think you could create a false family member who is of the right age.

    This is not an issue with Nintento Switch ...

    Reset console, and lost Xbox profile

    Thanks for your reply. I've checked the information for logging in, but the problem is that the profile was set up with the existing e-mail address (used for the old profile)... so we cannot now access the old profile. I'm trying to contact a technical support
    person from Microsoft to see if we can recover the old profile data.

    How do I change the email associated with my Xbox One?

    When you change a user's profile name or email address, they get a new profile. After receiving a new profile, users lose access to their old profile and any his information.

    All profiles can't play downloaded games

    Yup, if you want everyone to have access on the "new" console, you'll have to transfer the licenses from the old console. The only problem is that will leave any profiles on the "old" console without access to the DL content. So if those profiles had games
    going with content that your profile added (like extra cars in Forza for example), those cars will disappear from their garages.
