OLD PC gaming wheel connected to XBox One S?

I'm new to xbox and have an xbox one s coming soon (our first xbox). The following may be a stupid question but I have to ask.

We purchased it with the main objective being Forza 7, and we plan to purchase a gaming wheel and pedals. Before we purchase a wheel, I am wondering if there is a way to adapt an old CH Products EXL500 wheel and pedals (which I have laying around). The EXL500
is clearly designed for a PC and has a 15 pin serial plug. The xbox one s has "xinputs" ("xusb"?). I've seen Serial to USB adapters, but I believe it can't be that simple or easy and don't want to risk trying that. I've also seen interface pc boards, but nothing
that jumps out as the one I need. I also have no idea how the appropriate drivers would be incorporated.

tx wheel not working after new dashboard update

need help when i plug my tx wheel in the xbox one it only calibrates half way but all lights up then no buttons besides the guide buttons work at all,not the wheel as worked fine before the update and all lastest drivers up to date when connected to pc help

Wow, a steering while with the old pre USB 15 pin Game Port interface, that must be really old! But the answer to your question, would be a no I'm afraid. Even if you connected it up via USB, the console wouldn't know what it was. All controllers for
Xbox need built in firmware that tells the console what the device does and how to use it. An old wheel like this wouldn't have this firmware, hence why it wouldn't work anyway.

Quite honestly, it's so old, it wouldn't work for a modern PC now either.

 

That's what I thought, especially since I've found no existing information or examples, but thought it's worth asking about. Thanks!!!!
