    Old Gamer Tag still shows in party mode...


    Hello! About a month ago I paid to change my Gamer Tag. However, it still shows my old Gamer Tag on the party mode. I have re-downloaded the profile, but that did not help. I am not sure what to do at this point. Please help!

    Purchasing a Gamer Tag change

    I just recently changed my gamer tag, but when I invite friends to a party it still shows my old gamer tag and its been like that for 5 days. Any solutions?

    Old Gamer Tag still shows in party mode...

    I'm not sure what causes this, but I'm having the very same problem. I've redownloaded my profile and everything as well, but it still shows my old gamertag.

    Hello there xKGSxSNIPERBOY1

    If your Xbox 360 console doesn’t recognise or is unable to detect your New Gamer-Tag when connected to a party then you can always Force Sync it with The Xbox Live Service, You can do this by following these steps here.

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
    2. Select Settings, System Settings and then Network Settings.
    3. Select the name of your Wireless Network, or select Wired Network for a wired connection.
    4. Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
    If this does not work, All you have to do is wait "24 Hours," I`ve noticed that the
    Xbox Live Servicehas been slow Syncing peoples new Gamer-Tags when they join party`s and send messages and much more, I`m sure it`s something to do with all the recent errors with the Xbox Live service, ^-^

    Under settings, then account , all options that show something with a name show my old gamer tag, I could not find any account option under the settings, and then system option but when I play a game then it shows my new gamer tag, iv only just finished downloading a game to play, I don't understand why I still have to see my old gamer tag on everything else though
