Old email address when reedeeming a code

Thank you for your reply. As the email address is my previous one and is displayed when I try and redeem a code, if I redeem the code will it still be added to the account I'm using??

Thank you for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with removing an alias from your Microsoft account. If you've recently removed the old primary alias from your account, it will take 30 days to be removed. This is to protect your account
from being hijacked in an unfortunate situation. After the 30 days pass, the email you chose to be as your new primary alias will be available for use. For more information, please check out this article:

The account has the old email address when I select the top right icon to show the account details.

In security, it only has the new email address and his mobile number.

When logging into Xbox on his new laptop (windows 11), it won't give any authentication options except for sending a code to his old address.

The game does not seem to be listed as redeemed here, but when i attempted the code in store just now it said that the 'game will be added to (my old email of the same microsoft account). So the game must have been redeemed by this email address. I even tried logging in with my old email address.
