That's strange, when you change your password. As soon as the person (or even you) try to use your account. The Xbox console and the system ask for the new password. The profile is still there, but is not accessible.

Another way to avoid this is going here:

Delete the unknown devices. Then scroll down and select "Manage" under Microsoft Store management

And unlink all the unknown devices there.
In that way now the person is not going to access to your account anymore

It’s not the password I’m having issues with. I’m having issues with my account getting locked fro security purposes. It wants me to put in a phone number to get a recovery code from the text or voice message. However, I don’t have a phone like, at all.
I’ve also already tried to reset my password, which did change but I’m still security locked.

I’ve tried removing my account off the Xbox i even put my account on a different Xbox an it’s not working i uninstalled the game re downloaded it I’ve deleted my account an put it back I’ve turned the console completely off i know I’m not banned or anything cause i was literally 12-13 years old when the game came out an i played idk what else to do

Hey there my young one has gone onto my home Xbox and turned it off n on whilst I’ve been at work so when I’ve come home I’ve had no Xbox home switches left so I’m unable to put my mates account as my home Xbox to play the games we’ve both paid for, please say there’s something you can do otherwise I’m going to have to wait till 24/07/22 to put it back on
