Ok someone explain this!

This was a problem in some of the early Xbox 360 games in PAL territories. It isn't made clear because when Hitman Blood Money was released there was no HDMI Xbox 360 console. However it is easy to fix and
you only need to do to it once.

Turn off your console, connect your old SD cable to the console, turn your console back on. Go to the 'Settings' screen and then the display settings, set your display to 50Hz. Turn off the console and reconnect your console via the HDMI cable, now run your
game. All being well, Hitman should now play fine.

If you've lost your cable, you should be able to get one from eBay or Amazon for about £5. Or ask a friend for their cable. As I said, you only need to use the cable once to fix the problem.

 

Okay lets draw a line right about here and put this back into perspective. I am sorry to hear that there are issues (if we could call this an issue) but as stated above it does say in the purchase information what the game needs in order to play. Sucks for
those who don't read it but it all boils down to consumer responsibility.

 

An update on this thread, finally connected my xbox360 via the old composite leads, and unknown to me my settings were on pal 50, so reset them to 60 and there is a major difference picture and colour wise! The refresh rate enhances the overall picture,
and let's you play older games better. Re- connected the hdmi lead and the picture still seemed better, maybe it's a placebo effect but, hey it works, I'm guessing in Europe the default setting is pal 50, get out your old leads switch to 60 and try for yourself.

 

Just set it to auto and it will find the best picture by itself.

 

Err, no. To long a back story to explain, you can only! Change your 50 vs 60 settings using the old composite cables! Yes weird but true!

It even turns into an argument, which is funny since it seems to have come down to someone neglecting to read the description. Can't say that's how I make my purchases... slinging money everywhere without even knowing checking out what I'm buying ; )

I didn't think it was all that common for an HDMI cable to die, and it hardly seems to be something you should be concerned about. But.. You don't have an extra HDMI cable laying around, or another device that uses HDMI that you could steel the HDMI cable
from for a night in that scenario?

There's also no way in Hell I'd buy a HDMI cable from a retail store when you can easily find them at Amazon.com for $2.50 or less.

 

Lol, I have three HDMI cables(maybe 4?). All of them came backed in with their repsective systems(360, Wii U, and PS3.)
