What has caused this outage? Was it a hacker or what?

WHEN is this going to be fixed? A paid service and .... just wow ... just wow ... can't believe it.

Xbox Live Status. Sometimes, like all online services, certain features must be taken offline in order to perform maintenance or to resolve future issues before they become bigger in scale. You can always look at our Status site to see what is being affected.
