On the plus side because there's tons of better games out already and coming out there's no real reason to have to fuss over Unity until they've been at it with the duck tape a couple of times.

Well I've had around 3 hours on this today and so far so good.

I've completed the first 2 story missions, had a good explore and seen nothing that's been posted in some of the videos posted.

The only 2 issues were once when chasing an enemy through crowded streets the frame rate did stutter for a few seconds but it wasn't unplayable and twice I have a message pop up saying I've been disconnected from the servers.

Now I'm not saying I won't encounter more problems but as of yet I'm loving it, great story so far, the visuals are some of the best I've seen on XB1, the fighting/combat feels a little more friendly this time ( not so fiddly )

So far so good!

 

^ The weird thing is that most of the complaints are directed at the PS4 version, with the Xbox One being more stable and less glitchy?

I'm staying away for now (too much else to play and not enough time!) but glad your enjoying it mate - should you see any faceless dancing freaks on the streets of Paris though - run for the hills!!!

 

It's AC I will probably pick it up to play when I have three weeks leave at Crimbo, hopefully be all good by then!

 

Well people are saying the game is CPU bound and Ubisoft themselves said the AI processes are extremely expensive (which boggles the mind considering how bad the AI seems in certain clips online). Xbox is supposed to have a slightly better processor than
the Playstation hence the reason it has the edge this time around. Although people are also saying that disabling wifi gives you 30fps in both versions. So that makes it sound like there's another bottleneck caused by the game phoning home to uPlay or something,
which is worrying in its pointlessness.

 

So this game runs like crap, is glitchy as hell, has microtransactions and ingame content locked behind a companion app. Does not surprise me whatsoever. Those 1 year dev cycles really aren't helping even when they have like
1 million or so people working on it. Sad thing is that this isn't even the most broken game released this week.

 

'Played for a few more hours tonight, thankfully still no problems to report, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

When I first installed the game today though there was around a 900mb update, wonder if this sorted out a lot of the issues people were reporting?

 

Yeah if you're hiding under the bed because of what you read on KOTAKU then it's safe to come out now.

Spend 15 minutes watching a Twitch Feed and you'll see their article for the scare mongering attention seeking rubbish that it is.

Yeah there are occasional glitches in the game but not really more so than you'll see in other titles, big name or otherwise.

Looks like some people could do with taking some of the stuff they read on the interweb with a pinch of salt.

Ok so a game that was embargoed for reviews launches, reviewers and gamers alike report problems on mass, the Internet is rife with reports from many sources all saying the same thing. Ubisoft releases a statement to the BBC blaming the complexity of
games where players are connected via the Internet (despite it being a largely single player game) and no less than three patches have already been announced since the game was released on Friday. But according to Az it should all be taken with a pinch of
salt?

 

Not so much the BBC's article Genchy.

More the shoddy click bait on "Kotaku".

I think the guys who was broadcasting on Twitch put it best as people were discussing their 6 minute "Glitch-fest" video when he said: "When you watch that guy with the impressive kills compilation on Youtube you don't seriously thing he never dies do you?
It's a highlight video".

So I'm just saying try to keep some perspective.

You might be able to find some pretty crazy glitches in the game if you looked hard enough but not really more so than you'd see with other titles, big name or otherwise.

Go watch people playing now Genchy. It's nowhere near as bad as they tried to make out.

 

Doesn't change the fact the game was blatantly released before it should have been hence Ubisofts rapid attempt at firefighting.
