Sorry gg you have been click bated he actually said he supports the ceo in any decisions made but went onto say he doubted bing or xbox would become seperate and would remain part of Microsoft as it's core to their future strategy.

 

I read the whole thing f00; I know what he said. The thing is though, if the CEO does decide to do it, he'd back his CEO. It's a "what if" scenario. It may not be likely to happen, but if it does...

 

When you have a new CEO, someone the likes of Bill Gates HAS to say he'd support decision x if the CEO makes it. If Bill Gates had said something more along the lines of, "I don't think that would be a good idea," etc, then the headline the next day would
be "Bill Gates Has No Confidence in New CEO's Decision-Making Skills".

 

I suppose I can understand that, Dragon, but still - CEO or not, if he makes a bad decision (IMO), I'm not going to stand by it and let it ruin a profitable part of my company. Good thing I'm not Bill, I guess.

 

The New CEO said he know the important in Xbox and etc and he would not sell off. He said this when he became CEO.

 

If that's true ZTrooper, then why is IGN making such a big story about it? Oh wait, never mind...

 

Well, I would hope on record Bill Gates along with all the other Microsoft bosses would support Satya Nadella. Now off-record is a different story. Like Bill Gates said, "Well, we're taking PC gaming, Windows gaming,
and Xbox gaming and bringing those a lot closer together. The power of the PC graphics chips means you can do great games there. So I'm sure Satya and the team will look at that, and, you know, it's up to them.

The Xbox One is doing fine so far, again it's not selling as well as the PS4, but this generation has just started and the Xbox One could make Microsoft a lot of money.

 

Yea this story done the rounds, been put to bed though. As you mentioned he'll support the CEO, went on to say Bing / Xbox is intergral to MS. Nadella is quoted as saying he's fully behind the Xbox Division.

The irony about all this is even if they did spin off Xbox, it wouldn't be sold off to another company, it would become it's own company - nothing much would change, a thing I think many of the click bait articles ignored or didn't know about.

 

It's funny how so many people can read the words but haven't a clue what everything means!
