OG XBOX One booting to trouble shoot menu

For the past week, my xbox starts up, beeps twice, and goes directly to the trouble shoot menu. I first solved the problem by doing a power cycle, unplugging the power cord and all that, and it would work. The next time I booted up, same thing. If i were
to hit continue on the trouble shoot menu, black screen for forever. I did a factory reset and still same problem. My white light on the power button flashes randomly, and everything works when I get to the dashboard(unplugging power cable, power cycling).
Today was the first time I hit continue and it actually took me to the dashboard, but still, I'd rather not enter the trouble shoot menu every single time. Anyone dealt with this?

I had the same issue. Trouble shoot menu reset will fix it. I messed around with this for 2hrs. Took OSU1 to fail and OSU2 to fail for me to find out about the trouble shoot menu. I used the "keep games and app" option. To get to trouble shoot menu:

Power cycle or remove from power source for 30secs

Turn on while holding bind and eject buttons

On 2nd chime, release buttons

You are at trouble shoot menu

Should work. I was angry worked 3, 12hr days to come home and not be able to play. The above steps should help.

 

Cant control my dashboard.

I have this exact problem with my Xbox One as well. I just did the manual offline update and it did not work for me. what would happen if i hit the factory reset button in the trouble shoot menu? what would I lose?

reset, was it a
soft reset where the games and apps remained on the console?

When did this start happening and was there any changes made to the console recently?

Thanks for the quick response! It started happening about a week and a half ago, and no there haven't been any changes. I have an external hard drive that I've been using since last December, so all of my games and apps were saved to that. I disconnected
that once everything was backed up, and then I did the entire factory reset.
