    Often losing connection for no reason- high ping?


    So my internet is quite good now, after many problems, the speed is as it should be (36mb up, 6 down). The phone line was an issue but Sky fully fixed this issue. But sometimes, it will drop for a few seconds when I'm playing on the Xbox. It will disconnect
    me from my game, and usually the party, but all is then fine again and I can rejoin the party/game just seconds later. I've thoroughly checked everything, contacted everyone, replaced all cables etc. No troubleshooter helps. I think it may be to do with my
    ping/latency. Wireless, on speedtest.net it is about 50-60ms, but wired, on my Xbox, it is 160ms. This may be the problem, right? But I have no idea how to fix it...

    Country/State: Bristol, UK
    Modem: Black sky hub (no router)
    Only one Xbox One... Wired connection.
    UPnP: enabled
    NAT: Open
    ISP: Sky (fibre unlimited)

    i also had this problem i lost 720 msp on a purchase that i didnt do, i contacted support that said i had purchased toy soldiers which i didnt and i checked my history and it wasnt there, they said they would lock my account and do an investigation but they
    have yet to do so....

    Microsoft recommended 150ms are often exceeded. Are the servers only in North America?

    Too high ping if you're connected to North America servers.

    Hi,

    You are complaining about your WiFi, but stating you have a high ping. Ping has nothing to do with your WiFi connection between your console and the router.

    Ping is a calculation of the time it takes for you to recieve a response from the server you're connected to via the internet, the signal strengh of your home network is not part of the results from a test for Ping.

    If you're suffering high ping, you need to speak to your ISP.
