    Offline Xbox1 Update Greyed Out


    Some back story..... Disk drive quit working a few days ago. No matter what I tried I couldn't get it to read any disks. Now today I start it up and it tries to do an update and fails. Brings me to a screen to do offline updates and to do full resets.

    HOWEVER I tried to install update via my Xbox Seagate external drive and it the option stays grayed out. As a last resort I also tried to do the full factory format and it too literally 2 seconds before rebooting ( I'm doubting that it actually formatted
    anything. ) What would be my next step from here to try and get this update to take so I can get back to gaming?

    update keeps freezing and cant play the game to the fullest

    Yes its an xbox1. i did install it offline then connected to do the update. then the update stops at 41%

    E200 error what is the solution?

    Already downloaded the update to a usb drive, inserted into the xbox, but the offline update option is greyed out on the xbox.

    I just wish MS would be upfront and say when a HD is wrecked and we can all move on

    Alright, if the offline system update is greyed out on the troubleshooter page, it means that the USB flash drive has not been detected. Just to confirm, were you able to format it to NTFS format on your computer?

    System Update keeps failing. Offline update attempted but option is greyed out.

    HI,

    Sorry about that issue, if you really cant make the offline update, i suggest you to make a factory reset ( all datas erase ) , then apply the offline update.
