Offline Xbox One Account

So I'm not sure if this has been posted before, I googled this issue and it seems alot of people are running into the same problem but anyways here it is.

So I just got the Xbox One about a week ago, had a friend come over and we wanted to play a game together offline, no multiplayer online, just offline 2 player goodness. Now heres the thing, I have friends who like to have there profiles on my system so
when they play with me, all their setting are saved so they don't have to pause and rework everything, they can just jump in like me. Some of my friends don't have and Xbox Live account and don't want one.

So here is the issue. How come they can't make an offline account!?

On Xbox 360 it was easy, you made the profile, chose your avatar, gamerpic, etc and your good. Saved, they could play games with you, no problem. Why does the next gen console not have this feature. Is this to prevent piracy or is this to force people to join
Xbox Live. Either way I called customer support and the girl I talked to was just as baffled as I was and couldn't believe a system she supports doesn't allow us to do such a thing. I'm sorry but I feel a little lied to when Microsoft said you don't need to
be online to play Xbox One anymore, that they revoked that. I still feel like there are some "read between the lines" going on here and if MS doesn't change this, I mine as well return this thing and either not upgrade or just switch sides. I'd love to play
this thing but seriously...

This is exactly why I still play my Nintendo 64 more than anything. These newer systems are doing so much that the fun factor is almost completely gone. N64, hook up two controller, hit the power switch and your golden. Xbox One, set up an account, put in
your email, do this, do that, check this code, NO! I don't want to do that, I want to play games. Microsoft, if your reading this, you have some explaining to do because so far your Xbox One is a huge step back compared to the Xbox 360, not a step forward
by any means...

I just did this today with my offline partners profile which was on my own Gold account (360 )

You need to use a 24hr, 2 day, 7day pass and create an xbox live account for each of them, then port them across

Yeah i will have to add my 360 account to the one then replay all my xbox one games.

 

you weren't lied to you don't need to be connected to the internet to play xbox one but you cannot create offline accounts on xbox one meaning the account must be setup with a email

You can add a guest account when a primary GT is signed in by going up to the profile screen and select 'Add guest'.
