Offline XBOX installations

Hi I wonder if you can assist i recently purchased an xbox one s 1tb device but i dont have internet at home, i did the initial update at a friends house and im able to play the games that came bundled with the device. My question is can i download digital
games and apps to usb and then install it on the xbox in offline mode as i cant keep carting the console around todo updates and instalations.

Xbox does not download "Need for Speed" (2015) disc format.

Hi!

First delete the incomplete installation of the game. Then set the console to "Offline" and launch the installation again. When finished, set the console
to "Online".

Are you starting the installation while connected to Xbox Live and then going offline or are you disconnecting first and then starting the installation?

Hi there,

you can only download games via the Xbox One console, but if the games are installed on a supported usb drive (USB 3.0 and at least 256GB) or are copied to that drive, then it can be used to copy the content to your console.

But the issues is that your console doesn't know that your account owns the license so the game will not work on your Home console that is not connected to Xbox Live, you will have to connect to Xbox Live in order for your console to know that your account
owns the license.

So in short Yes, you can transfer/copy games via usb devices, but you will have to get your console Online in order for the console to know your account owns the license, when the consoles know that by connecting to Xbox Live for a while, then your console
can be set as offline again and you should be able to play those other games too.

Side note: Most Disc based games can be installed without the requirement to connect to Xbox Live, but you will miss sometimes important day 1 updates for the game.

Offline install only installs the disc. Here are the steps to installing
offline.

Go to solution 2 Take your console offline and install the game.

Strange. That should work though. I suggest to try setting your console to offline and install the game.

Xbox 360 games can not be installed offline as these games are not installed off the disc, they are downloaded from Xbox Live.

Set your console to offline and then install/play the game unless the game is already installed.
