'Offline' when not Appearing Offline (help!)

Hi there. Honestly going mad over here and I desperately need someone to either say 'hey, this happened to me' or just an explanation.

So. For months now I've had an issue where, when my Xbox is turned off, sometimes it will randomly show me as 'Offline' rather than 'Last Seen etc'. I know that when you Appear Offline it shows this, but on both my Xbox One & Smartglass for Windows 10 I'm
not set to Appearing Offline. I haven't set myself to Appear Offline in months.

It's only when my Xbox is turned off.

What could be causing this? Has anyone else experienced this? It's honestly driving me insane and anything, theories or explanations or empathy, it'd just help so much.

Hello Ph04nix,

I get your question for nobody wants to leave a bad impression on other gamer friends on the list. This is simply a matter of data updated on the system. Try this simple solution that often comes in handy, remove your account from the console, power cycle
the console and download your account again.

Let us know how it goes from there!

Thank you very much for your response and suggestion; you're absolutely right, it's all to do with how others perceive it and it's frustrating the heck out of me.

I shall try your suggestion at the weekend and we'll see how it goes. Would still be grateful for any other responses, especially from people who may have experienced this themselves.

Does your friend appear offline? The appear offline feature will still increase in day count if they play while appearing offline. If he is not appearing offline, sometimes (very seldom) will the friends list show people with a wrong status, but when
it does it usually updates within a few hours when this issue occurs.
