    OFFLINE UPDATE WITH ERRORS - XBOX ONE FIRST GEN


    We recently got the Green Screen Of Death on our First Gen Xbox One and I attempted an Offline Update in hopes of solving the problem. The update would hang at 86% and produce Error Code 203. Error Code 203 required a Factory Reset which we completed
    but now the thing will operate after the reset for about a day before giving the GSOD again and requiring a Factory Reset again in order to use. What can be done to eliminate the need for continuous resetting???

    I have this same problem on both of my Gen 1 Xbox Ones. I even factory reset one of them and still ran into a problem. So I bought a flash drive and tried to do an offline update but still had the error. Now both of my Xbox's are basicly brinks now.

    If you have having trouble with updates, I would recommend following the steps in this link

    Select:

    - I need to troubleshoot a system update error

    - Then select xbox one x, s, or xbox all digital edition

    - I am getting an error message or error code

    - There was a problem with the update

    - Select relevant error message

    Solution -

    Perform an Offline System Update

    The Xbox One Offline System Update (OSU) process allows you to update your console by downloading a file to a USB flash drive and then installing that file directly onto your Xbox One console.

    To use the Offline System Update, you'll need:

    • A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
    • A USB flash drive with a minimum 6 GB of space formatted as NTFS.
