Offline Update for Original Xbox One Always Fails

I'd like to know the correct process of how to perform an offline system update for an original Xbox One console. Which file do I do first? OSU1? OSU2? OSU3? The Xbox help page is very vague on which one is to be used as it does not say what to do when the console will not even boot up properly so I cannot eve check which OSU file I need as I cannot find out what build the console is. I do have an external hard drive/thumb drive with well over the required about of GB space required and the proper NTFS formatting, I have used the proper menus to try and perform an offline update, I have tried OSU1, OSU2 and OSU3 separately and not one of them worked. It starts off at the screen showing 0% in progress of the offline update but then I get an error code after five minutes, sometimes E101 or E102 and the update fails, every time. My console has never received any physical damage/shock what so ever, but it just might if this failure rate keeps up. Is anyone able to diagnose why an Xbox One console refuses to load an offline update? Do not tell me to "power cycle" my Xbox One, I have done that and it does not help me in any way in trying to update the console. No it is not currently plugged into an ethernet cable.

Sounds expensive. Now more than ever considering the price I've paid for the console. No warranty as it is so old. Offline Update fails right away anyways. Might as well use it as a door stopper. $499.00 down the drain.

As long as the external hard drive is formatted to NTFS and the files are extracted, OSU1 should work though. But in case the issue still persist even after trying that, sorry but your console needs a service already.

My internal HDD on my original Xbox One failed and I'm trying to do an offline update to a new drive. I apparently have to choose which version to download based on my current update, which I can't check on the failed drive.

If anyone with an original Xbox One and regular vanilla system updates to the latest version (no previews or anything like that) could post what their version is it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the update on the issue with the failed update. If the issue persists with the failed update, try this: Xbox One System Update Solution
and click on Update My Console Offline.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

Sounds like a failed update. I do CS for Xbox. Try the restore factory defaults option and it will fix that
